The rugs that has been made in Persia, a geographical area between the Caspian Sea and the Persian Gulf, often take the name of the location in which they were made, such as: Isfahan, Kerman, Mashad, Yazd, Tehran. These rugs have deeply symbolic flowers and arabesque gardens that have entered the collective imagination.
